NEW! CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD
will be offered at Sunday Masses beginning Sept 20. All children aged 5-11 are invited are invited to participate. We will begin this program at the Masses in English and eventually open it to the Masses in Spanish as well. Volunteers who are in compliance with the Safe Environment requirements of our diocese will lead the children out of the church after the opening prayer of the Mass to Fr. Connors Hall (and to the mobile classroom after it’s installed). The children will celebrate the Liturgy of the Word at their level and encouraged to ask questions. The goal is to enable children to better appreciate and actively participate in the liturgy. After this experience, the children will be led back to the church and rejoin their families while the collection is being taken up. Early next month surveys will be passed out at Mass to gather information and seek out volunteers. If you are interested is being a volunteer or want more information, please call Sharon Raimondo at 892-1186.
ADULT RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Once again, Stephen Valgos, MTS and Br. Ken Lund, CM, MA will conduct a series of 8 lectures as part of our parish’s Life-long Faith Formation program. The parents of children preparing for 1

There is no charge. Flyers can be found in the vestibule of the church. The program in Spanish will follow a similar theme on Christian life and values.LIFETEEN
has planned "Gone Fishing," its first overnight youth retreat to be held at the Madonna of Peace Diocesan Retreat Center in Copperopolis next weekend, Sept 4-6; adults will be present throughout this time. The retreat will help the young people draw closer to Jesus and prepare them for the coming year of the Life Teen program. The retreat will involve praising God with music, along with inspirational talks and sharing. The youth will also enjoy wholesome entertainment including swimming and other activities, as well as good food. Please keep our young people in your prayers and I'm sure they will be praying for us. The cost of the retreat is $40 per person. Many thanks to all those who are supporting Life Teen and its activities, especially the upcoming retreat. For more information, please call Bob Plaugher at 613-8285.
WELCOME
This weekend we welcome Fr. Antonio Sagrado of the Archdiocese of Ozamis City, Philippines who will make an appeal to our parish for its spiritual and material support. The Archbishop of Ozamis City, Archbishop Jesse Dosado, CM is a Vincentian and was finishing his studies for the priesthood in Perryville MO when Fr. Bernie and Fr. Mike were beginning theirs in 1963. As always, the annual Mission Appeal provides us the opportunity to experience the universal character of the Church and an opportunity to provide our support in a more personal way. Several priests of this archdiocese are assigned to parishes in our own diocese.
